FRANKFURT, June 5 (Xinhua) -- German stocks rose on Friday, with the benchmark DAX index up 417.12 points, or 3.36 percent, to close at 12,847.68 points.
Automotive supplier Continental won the most among the blue chips, with its shares up 7.64 percent. Automotive manufacturer Daimler and aircraft engine manufacturer MTU Aero gained by 7.63 percent and 5.69 percent respectively.
Energy group RWE, personal-care company Beiersdorf and housing association Vonovia were the only three losers among the blue chips, falling 2.53 percent, 0.42 percent and 0.22 percent respectively.
German insurance and financial services company Allianz was the most-traded share with a turnover of 696.1 million euros (786.6 million U.S. dollars).
