BEIJING, Nov. 20 (Xinhua) -- Chinese stocks closed higher on Monday, with the benchmark Shanghai Composite Index up 0.46 percent to 3,068.32 points.
The Shenzhen Component Index closed 0.43 percent higher at 10,022.7 points.
The combined turnover of stocks covered by the two indices totaled 927.3 billion yuan (about 129.5 billion U.S. dollars), up from 826.7 billion yuan on the previous trading day.
Shares related to robots and brain-computer interface led the gains, while e-commerce, securities, and precious metals companies suffered the heaviest losses.
The ChiNext Index, tracking China's Nasdaq-style board of growth enterprises, gained 0.32 percent to close at 1,992.97 points Monday.
